2021 DSE 英文卷三 Part B2 考評報告重點｜Writing 三大任務高分攻略

來到 Part B，2021 年有七成考生選擇 B2，平均分 46.9%，雖然高過 B1 嘅 36.6%，但係並唔代表易做，只係選 B2 嘅同學整體底子較好。嗰年主題繼續圍繞 Victoria Cup 女子網球賽，B2 有三個任務：寫電郵畀 Refugee Sanctuary 解釋點解佢哋唔符合 Volunteer Ball Kids 要求、寫信回應 Ms. Singh 對賽事嘅批評，同埋寫電郵畀 PR 部門 Alfred Roi 要求重新設計宣傳海報。三個 task 都涉及敏感語境，語氣同分寸感係攞分關鍵。考評局嘅評語非常尖銳，我哋逐個拆開嚟講。

Task 8 係寫電郵畀 Refugee Sanctuary 嘅 Gilbert Bayo，17 分，平均分 47.0%。背景係 Events Horizon 招募網球賽 Ball Kids，Refugee Sanctuary 想申請但係唔符合要求，你要婉轉拒絕，同時提出替代方案，例如 Lara Taranova 會點幫佢哋。考評局讚賞用 formal register 嘅考生，因為呢封係第一次聯絡 Gilbert，語氣要專業有禮。高分考生開頭會寫 We regret to inform you that your organisation does not meet the requirements for the Volunteer Ball Kids programme，跟住清楚列明邊項唔達標，例如 committee 決定 Ball Kids 必須至少 11 歲，而 Refugee Sanctuary 服務嘅細路年齡不符。但係重點係拒絕之後要立即轉軚，用積極語氣講 Lara Taranova 願意探訪佢哋，或者邀請佢哋以其他形式參與賽事，最後加句 We hope to cooperate with your charity in the future。低分考生往往將拒絕寫得太生硬，甚至直接抄 Data File 入面嘅內部會議紀錄，例如 the committee agreed they are too young，感覺上似係鬧人哋唔夠資格。建議大家寫拒絕信嗰陣，用 we regret 開場，用 however 轉折，用 we would be delighted to offer 帶出替代方案，成個語氣就會柔和好多。另外，一定要提到 Lara Taranova 具體會做咩，例如 visit the children 或者 provide signed merchandise，唔可以淨係講 we will support you 呢啲空話。

Task 9 係寫信回應 Hong Kong Press & Journal 讀者 Ms. Geeta Singh 嘅投訴信，18 分，平均分 46.9%。Ms. Singh 批評兩件事：第一，去年大部分座位預留畀企業贊助商，好多位空咗冇人坐；第二，真正球迷買唔到飛，反而啲唔係球迷嘅人入場嘈吵影響球員。你要用 Events Horizon 身份回應，解釋今年點樣改善。考評局強調，呢封信需要 synthesize 多個來源，包括 Data File 入面嘅會議紀錄、同 Wimbledon 嘅電話訪談、同埋 listening 入面嘅 Zoom meeting。高分考生會針對 corporate tickets 問題，引用 Leon Barnes 講嘅做法，例如 if seats are not claimed within 60 minutes, they will be released to fans waiting in the Fanzone。針對 littering 問題，就引用 Green Ambassador 計劃同 blog 入面嘅措施。但係考評局發現好多考生亂咁抄資料，例如將 Tennis Activity Day 嘅細節寫晒入去，或者將 Summer Lin 批評海報嘅內容都搬埋入嚟，完全同 Ms. Singh 嘅投訴無關。建議大家落筆前先列個清單，Ms. Singh 講咗咩，Data File 有咩對應回應，一對一咁寫，唔好離題。語氣方面，雖然係回應投訴，但係都係代表公司發言，要客氣但係有立場，例如 We appreciate your feedback and have taken steps to address both issues this year。

Task 10 係寫電郵畀 PR 部門嘅 Alfred Roi，18 分，平均分 46.9%，內容關於 Victoria Cup 宣傳海報被批評性別歧視。海報口號 Look like a woman, play like a man 引起軒然大波，Sonic Attack 雜誌訪問咗歌手 Summer Lin 嚴厲批評，網上投票 88% 人認為海報不恰當，贊助商甚至揚言撤資。你要寫電郵畀 Alfred，解釋點解海報必須重新設計。考評局話呢個 task 難在好多考生搞唔清楚自己同 Alfred 嘅關係，佢哋係同一間公司 Events Horizon 嘅同事，但係低分考生竟然喺電郵開頭寫 I am Nico Lin from Events Horizon，感覺上似係外人寫畀公司，完全冇 internal communication 嘅意識。高分考生會直接講 I am writing to follow up on the criticism of our promotional poster，因為 Alfred 一定知道件事，唔使自我介紹。語氣方面，要係同事之間嘅溝通，有禮貌但係直接，例如 We need to redesign the poster as a matter of urgency because the slogan has been widely criticised as sexist。考評局特別提到，低分考生將要求寫到似命令，例如 You must change the poster immediately，感覺上似老細鬧下屬，甚至似外判商收指令。正確做法係用 collaborative tone，例如 I would suggest we work together to create a new design that better reflects our company values。內容點要具體，提到 Bon Accord News 報導、online poll 結果、Summer Lin 嘅批評、同埋贊助商可能撤資嘅風險。結尾要有建設性，例如 Please let me know when we can discuss the new design，維持良好工作關係。
